David Steinberg is one of the new pioneers in mind-body medicine. He brings together the healing traditions of East and West with wisdom, grace and true understanding. I recommend his teachings of the highest order.

~ Saul David Raye, Yogi, healer, musician & activist

David's work is authentic and effective; his ability to go to the
core and guide awareness to unconscious areas of contraction
is quite powerful.  He is truly a healer.

"Quantum Wellness"

I have experienced Dr. Steinberg's work on multiple occasions. A session with him is like pressing a reset button on your mind, body, and spirit. I highly recommend him as a healer and as a psychotherapist.

Thai Yoga Therapy
back.gif Thai yoga therapy is an ancient and sacred system of healing with roots in Yoga, Ayurvedic medicine and Buddhist spiritual practice. It is a unique and powerful system of yoga therapy, which combines rhythmic massage, acu-pressure, assisted yoga stretching exercises, gentle twisting, energy work and meditation.

The Benefits of Traditional Thai massage:

  • It can help relieve you of pain and soreness
  • It is great for healing your injuries
  • You will become deeply relaxed by the rhythmic movement and acupressure
  • Traditional Thai massage will give you more energy
  • It brings the systems of the body into balance

Thai massage will help you let go of negative emotional energy held in the shoulders, back and entire body. This work aims at stimulating the flow of healing energies within the body, opening the areas which are blocked and bringing the body, mind and spirit back into balance and harmony, for health, happiness and wellness of being.floorbow.gif

Thai yoga body therapy helps professional athletes to recover between workouts by balancing the energy in the body. David has worked with members of the New York Giant's football team, as well as professional runners, dancers, and many others to help them find balance and focus in their work and daily lives.

More about the spiritual underpinnings of Thai yoga therapy:

The spirit of Thai Yoga Therapy is deeply interwoven with the teachings of Gautama Buddha, Buddhism. In Thailand this work was traditionally practiced in temples and regarded as a spiritual practice, a way to cultivate the four divine states of Buddhist practice, Metta (loving kindness), Karuna (compassion), Mudita (sympathetic joy) and Uppekha (non-prejudice). It is regarded as a practical application of Metta and is also very much a meditation practice.

Intention is the hidden power behind each action. If the underlying intention or spirit behind the action is to help, to heal and to work with love and kindness then the work takes on a much deeper and more powerful effect.  Working with mindfulness, awareness, loving kindness, compassion and joy throughout a session takes some practice, but when these energies are present within the spirit of the work being done, the Thai massages given are truly healing, not only to the recipient but also to the giver.

I am forever grateful to my teacher to my teacher and friend, Saul David Raye , for his inspiration, guidance, and for the Thai Yoga Therapy material on this website.
